Lisa Martin
Co-Owner and Executive Director
Lisa is the co-owner and Executive Director of Believe Consulting. Ms. Martin has worked in special education for over 25 years.
In 1997, Lisa founded the New Beginnings Program for children with Autism ages three to twenty-one. She was the Executive Director until 2018. Lisa holds a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership and is pursuing her Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Administration at Kean University in New Jersey.
Lisa is also an active Board member for New Alternatives for Children (NAC). NAC is a not-for-profit organization helping children with profound disabilities and chronic illnesses. They are dedicated to helping medically fragile children find safe and nurturing families through birth, foster, and adoptive families.
Lisa served as the Board President of New Beginnings for Tomorrow (NB4T) from 2016 to 2018. NB4T is a not-for-profit day program for adults with Autism ages twenty-two and older. Our mission is to build our program to serve adult clients with Autism to learn valuable life and work skills.
Currently, Lisa is working as a consultant to form partnerships with individuals, schools, and organizations committed to helping children and adults with Autism lead a successful and independent life.

Rachel Herrington
Co-Owner and Executive Director
Rachel is the co-owner and Executive Director of Believe Consulting. She has worked in special education for 25 years.

Rachel began her career working at the New Beginnings Program for children with Autism ages three to twenty-one in 1998. She started as a one-on-one aide and worked her way up to Director. Rachel holds a B.A. in Special Education, Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership, and is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Administration at Kean University in New Jersey.

Rachel was one of the founders of the New Beginnings for Tomorrow Program (NB4T), a not-for-profit Adult Day Habilitation Program serving individuals with disabilities over the age of 21. She served on the Executive Board as Trustee until 2020. The goal was to build the program to serve adult clients with Autism to learn valuable life and work skills.

Currently, Rachel is working as the Executive Director of the North Jersey Elks Developmental Disabilities Agency (NJEDDA). NJEDDA serves children with disabilities from ages 3 through 21 and adults 21 years and older. Additionally, she is an active consultant for Believe Consulting, working with districts, families, and support groups committed to helping children and adults with disabilities become as independent as possible.

Ms. Lisa Martin, Co-Owner and Executive Director of Believe Consulting, has a deep-rooted passion for helping children achieve their academic and social goals. As educator at heart, Ms. Martin has devoted her career towards appreciating children's exceptionalities and promoting sustainable learning communities. Her attention to detail and commitment to success are noteworthy.
